About NGO

For over four decades, Never Grow Old (NGO) , a ministry of first Baptist Church of Newnan has been a staple in the community welcoming seniors (55+) from all denominations.

We regularly gather on the first Thursday of each month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

We meet in the Fellowship Hall at the church, located at 15 West Washington Street in downtown Newnan one block off the square.

The monthly luncheons are complementary, with the organization providing the southern fried chicken, iced tea, and coffee.

Attendees are encouraged, though not required, to bring a covered dish or desert. The NGO luncheon with all the homemade covered dishes and deserts is considered by many the finest lunch in Newnan.

Each month we organize a day trip using a Church bus.  ALL of our day trips include lunch at great restaurant with a visit to points of interest such as, a Braves Game,  the Tellus Museum,  and Lanes Southern Orchard.
Next year we are planning a multi-day trip in the spring and fall.

We collect gently used home use medical equipment that is loaned out to the community.
